The annual theme will be launched in the fall of 2026 with a public symposium. Experts will present the current state of the debate and use real-world examples to demonstrate how climate-adaptive architecture and urban planning are already being tested today. The symposium aims to demonstrate to both students and faculty the urgency and relevance of this topic, to open the discourse beyond the institute’s boundaries and to stimulate design practices while also drawing attention to the new research in this field.
